Did you know that we have a twice-annual meeting of a well-rounded RULES COMMITTEE made up of multiple division Team Captains, Referees, and members of our staff?!

Our last committee meeting met on Wednesday, August 7th, and here were some of the topics discussed::

- Creation of BLUE STAR quarterback status - these 9 quarterbacks may only QB in the Elite or After-Party divisions.  See full list of star players published at https://www.beachcitysports.com/page/starred-players

- Formation of a committee to determine which players should be added/removed to "star player" list on a quarterly basis

- Unsportsmanlike player conduct will receive a warning, and next if a player is kicked out of the game their team will play DOWN for the remainder of that series.

Next Rules Committee Meeting will be in February 2020.

RULES CLARIFICATIONS AND CHANGES from SPRING & SUMMER 2019::

>>  Two New Rules and/or Clarifications : 

1) Female first downs are limited to 3 per game, only 1 per drive.  Now the numbers are simplified, teams have 3 blitzes & 3 female first downs per game.

2) Teams on offense must now wait 15 seconds after a turnover for the defense to get set.

RULES CLARIFICATIONS AND CHANGES from FALL & WINTER 2018::

>>  Only ONE New Rules and/or Clarification : 

 

"Any player who hikes the ball must immediately run a route and must do their best to avoid contact with the rushing player on defense.  In addition, any blitzing player must make it well known that he/she is blitzing and they must avoid contact with the player hiking the ball. It should be noted that the player hiking the ball are typically looking behind them, so contact and penalties will be left up to the discression of the referee."

**Re: Division Please Note : The Elite Division may have as-few as 4 teams registered to play, no refunds will be issued.  "Elite Star Players" are limited to 4 per team in the After-Party Division, 2 per team in the Party Division, and 1 per team in the Pre-Party Division (with the exception of no elite quarterbacks permitted in the QB position for any lower division).
